For 15 mins we were in the game and the midfield was working.

Then we got a scandalous decision.

Then we played well as a unit.

But lost.

Refs a cunt.

Dean's a fucking tosspot cunt - he's robbed us before for Spurs and seemingly they loaned him to Man United for the evening!

Sounds to me like a Noble Benched Effect

How many more games will be lost because of bad decisions against us.

Had a run of 6 or 7 games last year which cost us champions league football.

Decisions tonight's were just rank bad calls. If anyone was to be sent off it should have been Jones for the scissor tackle. I felt he knew was in trouble hence him pretending he was injured.

The off side is just truely shocking. No idea what the Lino and red were thinking.

Pleased Bilic had a pop in his press conference - was about time.

Great effort but hard to play 90 minutes with 10 men against anyone.

In a pub with a couple of Mancs, same shit, outrage with Kouyates tackle, but no shame with the fat poof Jones screaming and rolling around. For the record Kouyate got the ball first, his leg made no contact with there player, not even a foul.
like Neville is going to give an honest review, wankie cunt.

full claret jacket, what an absolute load of bollocks. It may have escaped your attention but Carroll hasn't played for most of the season and on the whole we've been shit. To try and claim we played better because Carroll wasn't playing can only mean you've missed most of the season. In fact id go as to far as to say if one of the chances we had, had fallen to him we may have taken the lead.

The reason we were better today is because we actually kept the ball and looked to pass forward rather sideways. Thats nothing to do with Carroll and everything to do with the midfield finally realising the idea is to get the ball forward , not pass it across the midfield until someone gives it away to the opposition.

As mentioned by others, decent performance all considered, Obiang bossed midfield and looked better than Pogba. Lanzini looked more like last seasons form, but Bilic has me puzzled by his team selections.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Thread 0-2 FT
Well that was disappointing. What looked like being the game we anticipated, close and hard fought, was turned on its head by two mistakes. First Feggy displayed bad touch and in trying to make amends was involved in a full blooded tackle with Jones [ who reacted like a guilty party feigning serious injury ]. Then referee Dean concluded that Feggy was guilty of a red card tackle and sent him off.

We all knew from then on it was going to be a backs to wall effort and though I admired our battling the game as a spectacle was over. Laughable second goal because Manu clearly had players offside too.

Not sure why Neville is so outraged by Kouyate's challenge, but didn't see anything wrong in Jones's

We played well but with a passing side like Man Utd and a big wide pitch like ours there was only ever going to be one result after the sending off.

Bilic though missed a trick. He should have taken Payet off and put carroll on straight after we went down to 10 men and put Antonio back into a holding midfield position. Then play out the rest of the game using Long balls.

You don't need to be a world class striker to finish that. He didn't even look up FFS.
And it was absolutely dogshit defending from Obiang for the second.

I'm a fan of both, for the record.

If we could ever get Sahko fit or find a similar mobile striker who moves well for passes .... and a right back .... we could be half decent.
The movement and passing of Lanzini and Obiang and the runs of Antonio were excellent.
Even Feghouli was sharp and moved well before Mike Dean killed him.

We were a much better team without Carroll on the pitch. We had a lot of good technical players on the pitch and for the first time this season tried to pass the ball in tight spaces.

Nordtveit did get done for pace and made a couple of dodgy back passes but he defended well on the whole and the fact he can use both feet to pass makes a big difference.

I don't blame Antonio for missing the chance. He isn't a world class striker and De Gea does really well coming out quickly so he feels he has to take it early.

Obiang superb today as was the whole midfield to be fair until we tired.

All the refs/officials love ManU! Mikhtarian granted a gift offside goal a couple of games ago and now Ibrahimovich: beyond incompetent.

Guardian report summed up Dean nicely regarding the red card:
"It was at the very least a mistake of Olympian scale, fitting the sweeping gestures, the imperial hauteur of the match official, a referee who clearly feels each football match he attends is a spectacle made up of three interlocking forces, Team A, Team B and Mike D."

Haven't seen a replay of ManU's 1st goal, but Ibrahimovich was standing directly in front of Randolph in what may have been an offside position? Was he played on by someone wider out?

did not miss noble at all & payet when he went off. lanzini gave us a classy edge in midfield. def start him ahead of noble any day of the week. however, with kouyate gone, steady noble walks straight back in. lanzini on the ball and with the added responsibility he had today will hopefully give bilic a nice headache.

re cresswell - he was in good positions during the game but the ball never got released to him.

need a forward though, antonio looked like c cole when he was clean through.

completely agree about the substitutions. The way we were playing with 10 men, we were always going to fade and earlier substitutions would have helped not only in this game but the upcoming ones as well.
